This year marks a remarkable milestone for My Sister’s Closet of MD (MSC) — 10 years of giving, growth, and transformation.
For a decade, MSC has worked tirelessly to help women in transition access the tools, confidence, and guidance they need to achieve their full potential.

Our programs have provided:

Donate Professional Attire

We welcome new or gently used women’s professional clothing and accessories that are suitable for interviews or workplace settings. Please ensure all items are clean, wrinkle-free, on hangers, and ready to wear. Your donations help empower women to step confidently into their careers!

Important Guidelines:

  • Donations must be dry-cleaned or laundered, freshly ironed, and less than 3 years old.
  • Items should be suitable for job interviews and professional environments.
  • A maximum of 25 items can be accepted per donation.

Note:
We are unable to accept clothing in bags or boxes.

Accepted Items

Examples of Accepted Items:

  • Winter coats
  • Professional separates: blouses, skirts, dresses, blazers, and jackets
  • Dress pants, khakis, polo-style tops, or scrubs
  • Interview-appropriate suits
  • Work-appropriate shoes
  • Accessories: handbags, scarves, jewelry, belts, padfolios

Items Not Accepted

We Cannot Accept:

  • Party dresses, evening gowns, sandals, denim, shorts, or capris
  • Men’s or children’s attire
  • Stained, worn, or damaged items
  • Non-professional clothing
  • Clothing older than 3 years
